WRU Pilot School for Literacy Programme

Mrs Jones is currently working alongside six other teachers who form the national education programme team for WRU. Mrs Jones and the team have developed literacy resources as part of a new initiative to make the game of rugby appeal to all ages. #crysibawb Dosbarth Deri have been trialling some of the ideas which will be showcased at the WRU National Headteacher's Conferences in Parc Eirias (North Wales), Principality Stadium and Parc y Sgarlets. This programme has initiated links between the school and the Ospreys and we look forward to some of our staff achieving qualifications in tag rugby as part of the programme. Mrs Jones has completed resources for the current Six Nations and is now looking forward to working with the WRU to complie resources for the next World Cup. We look forward to enthusing the children in Afon y Felin about rugby while also developing their literacy skills.
