Your child is now the teacher!

I'm extremely excited by this concept...getting your children to learn new things by actually getting them to teach others...and that's why the Usbourne Foundation's 'Teach your Monsters to Read' app will be a great addition to your child's learning. The idea is great: your child will learn how to read by getting to know new phonic sounds and words and then pass on what they learn to their 'monster' - a character they've designed themselves.

I'm always trying to find new ways of getting children engaged with reading, and I think this website, which is free for your child to use, will help them tremendously on their reading journey.

Your child will soon be issued with a Welcome letter and a password card, which will allow them access to their 'monster' at home, so their fun won't have to stop when school finishes.
